This 4-track EP (and my upcoming album "Answers In The Dust") was recorded at home in Australia between 2016 and 2020 using a simple Boss Micro BR-80. I would write a new song and record a demo within minutes, hours, or days. I used the wide array of effects available on the little machine, in a very lo-fi way, limiting myself to 8 tracks at a time.

As time went by, I grew attached to the performances and sounds I had come up with. The fact that I was just "recording demos" gave me a lot of creative energy - I didn't have to look at the clock and my bank account.

This year I asked Neill Duncan - who produced my debut album "Failure & Masterpiece" - to remix a few of those demos. In other words he took my flat mixes and turned them into 3D models, breathing fresh air into them. The tracks now have room to dive deep and soar high on up, while keeping their lo-fi roots firmly into the ground. I am a big fan of lo-fi freedom and spontaneity of sound. Eventually John Stuart mastered everything at his studio Stuart Sound Heaven in the Blue Mountains by the National Park.
